Howdy!

I’m Mackenna (Muh-Kenn-Uh).

I’m a technical senior product designer.

I enjoy making functional, beautiful digital experiences that feel good to touch and use in everyday life.

I found myself in the hardware niche since 2020, designing for button-based GPS bike computers at Wahoo Fitness, and now for wearable glucose biosensors at Dexcom. Wearables and hardware devices are especially fun to design for since they maintain a sense of tangibility beyond “the app”.

I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering from the University of Washington in 2018.

📍Currently based in Seattle, WA.

…I’m also a bike racer!

I enjoy finding my limits and inspiring others to try bike racing. It’s hard but it is so fulfilling.

I started racing with cyclocross in 2018, then slowly got affiliated with road racing (road, crits, time trials), and gravel. MTB and I are not friends.

I founded Breakfast Racing Team, a Seattle-based women trans femme non-binary cycling team which has become a staple in the PNW cycling scene. I ran and captained the team from 2019-2024.
